We started and still do competition with German Shepherds. While we love our big dogs, we found ourselves wanting a smaller dog that could keep up with our busy lifestyle and wasn’t afraid of farm life or our work life that consists of running a 30 horse Thoroughbred racing stable. We purchased Kitty and she fit right in with our pack. she didn’t mind the horses, goats, chickens, or pack of dogs. Lots of family, friends, and strangers were impressed with Kitty wherever we went. We began researching the breed and decided that we would like to purchase a male and breed. Through numerous articles and symposiums, as well as information from other breeders, we have made it our goal to breed structurally and genetically sound toy Aussies that can be your farm companion or your apartment pocket pal!! Our stock has been tested through Embark for any genetic variants and offer a 1 year genetic health guarantee for all of our pups.

The Funny Farm has been in our family since 1962. We pride ourselves on breeding responsibly and preserving the working bloodlines of both Toy Aussies and German Shepherds. Our dogs live in the house and are very much a part of our everyday lives. While being exposed to goats, chicken, horses, sheep, and other dogs, your pup will get plenty of social interaction from the 3 generations that still call the funny farm home.
